Why I Love Mornings

Morning is the start of a new day, when things great and small uncover their heads and rise up to begin. Sleep is holy, and is 100% necessary to survive in this life. When we sleep, we are rejuvenated to start again.

My favorite part of the day is when I first open my eyes in the morning. I look over and see the sun peeking through the light-filtering blinds of my bedroom. When I look into the kitchen, the sunlight places a beautiful glow among the kitchen counter that makes the room so inviting. When the sun is up, I want to be up.

When I open my eyes in the morning, I realize that God has given me another day to live. I hope to make the most of that day because it is a gift.

In the morning, I feel like I am the most productive. I wake up and have more energy that I’ll have for the entire day. This is the time I get more things started and finished. I work more diligently and efficiently.

When the day ages, my inspiration sometimes follows it. When the end of the day draws near, my body slows and gets ready to rest and start again.
