I wrote this several months ago when my daughter was about 16 months old. I found it buried in my blog drafts, and although it is a short write-up, I had to share it with you today!
As Christians, our “life line” to communicate with God is through prayer.
I became a mom in 2019, and I’ve prayed for my little girl every day since her first breath.
We may celebrate each milestone and look forward to the next one, but my favorite one so far has been how she has learned to bow her head, close her eyes, and do “prayer hands” before bed each night.
No, she doesn’t know everything I’m saying. She doesn’t understand why we are praying, yet. But I want her to be totally familiar with this form of communication with God from the very beginning of her life.
It is crucial that we teach our kids how to pray because where they spend eternity depends on it.
When did you teach your kids to pray?
